Didactic proposal of using aerial photographs with kites in teaching Geography

This paper discuss the application of an academic project that introduces the Kite Aerial Photography in geography. The paper presents the main guidelines and demonstrates how to perform this work. We demonstrate the steps to make the kites, the practice in fieldworks and analysis of aerial photographs. This technique can be applied in the construction of knowledge in a ludic and interdisciplinary form. Integration with mathematical, physical, historical and geographic knowledge is possible. In geography, some examples of possible applications are related to remote sensing, climatology, cartography and landscape analysis. The project has a great potential for the development of teaching practices and learning from an interactive and accessible instrument.
