Technological development in the next steps for the space colonization

Space exploration is currently led by the U.S., but Russia, Japan and the European Union, as well as China, India and Brazil; have intensified their space activities to join in these efforts. According the world main Space Agencies, can be indicated that the development of international space capabilities will allow a probe to visit and return from an asteroid near year 2020, between 2020 and 2030 will install a manned base on the moon and between 2030 and 2050 another on Mars or in one of its moons. The purpose of this paper is present, briefly, the scientific point of view regarding technological development which will be required and, also, the steps needed to comply with the above objective.
