摘要：
The direct problem of directional radiation from an extended source in a three-dimensional irregular ocean waveguide is investigated. The quasiseparation of variables reduces the problem to a system of two-dimensional Helmholtz equations with variable refractive indices. It is shown that an asymptotic solution of the basic problem can be formulated by zeroth approximations of the two-dimensional problems. Specific examples are discussed.
