摘要：
The lapse rate on ordinary life insurance products is a key operating parameter for life insurance companies. We seek to identify determinants of the lapse rate using a model that incorporates variables representing: consumer demand, managerial decision-making, and Moody's financial stress ratings. The model is seen to have its sharpest relevance when applied to the life companies that are under the heaviest financial stress.
