摘要
This paper discusses the new techniques being sponsored by the Australian Wool Corporation to assess raw wool prior to its sale. Also, it is shown that pre-sale objective measurement of wool can be used to specify the average fibre diameter, yield and vegetable matter content. The grab sampling technique described makes it possible for the buyer to assess the other characteristics such as style, staple length, soundness and color.
