摘要：
The subject of this paper is a study approved by Filsan Engenharia e Servicos S/A, about the use of areas degraded by mining activities for final disposal of solid waste from either urban or industrial origin. Provided that technical and environmental conditions are properly secure for executing a project and for adequate operation of a landfill, the use of such areas is useful mainly because it brings the solution for two problems basically considered as main responsible for substantial environmental damages.
