Violence and displacement: characterization of displaced women household heads in the municipality of Florida, Valle del Cauca

This research presents the violence in the southern department of Valle del Cauca, Colombia. This violence contributed to the displacement of famlities headed by women from three ethnic groups: Afro-American. indigenous and other. To characterize their situation of displacement in the Florida town (located south east of the Department of Valle del Cauca, in the Andean region, in the Valley Geographic of Cauca river, near of the Central mountain foothills at a distance of 42 km. from the Capital of the Department, Cali) is the main objective will be counted, for that, with direct observations and life stories of the affect people give significant findings, in a larger study of qualitative type, Supported by the Federacion Internacional de Universidades Cattilicas (FIUC). Finally describes the absence of institutional programs, poor public policies, lack of guarantees, the insensitivity and ignorance of those leads the strategies and the in the patterns in corrupt politics.
