Effect of the spin-orbit interaction on persistent currents in quantum rings

摘要
A form of the spin-orbit (SO) interaction, specific for 2D systems, is used to describe persistent currents in quantum rings. The appropriate Schrodinger equation allows an exact solution. The accounting for SO-interaction changes drastically the magnetic flux dependence of persistent currents.
