摘要：

Preventive colectomy for familial adenomatous polyposis is indicated for inevitable malignant change after the age of 30 years. We describe two patients of the same family with familial adenomatous polyposis, who underwent colectomy with ileorectal anastomosis and were treated with sulindac after operation. Sulindac causes regression of size and number of adenomas but discontinuation of treatment seems to lead to recurrence of adenomas.
