摘要：

The Third United Nations Convention of the Law of the Sea 1982 constitutes a milestone in maritime legislation as it was a great effort to regulate territory and profit of the seas. Colombia which is a maritime state with a maritime territory as big as in its land territory has not ratified the Convention, which is an important problem to analyze. The importance of this Convention (for Colombia and International Society) will be analyzed taking into account the premises of International Relations English School. Furthermore, it will be likewise evaluated Colombia's position in regard this institution and possible scenarios which might arise around it.
