摘要：
Submerged powder injection is an important technique in steelmaking processes. From photographing gas jet behavior by a high speed cinecamera, two regimes of gas flow are distinguished: bubbling and jetting. Jetting in the sonic region is of significance in problems of nozzle clogging and tuyere refractory erosion. A model experiment was done in which glass beads were injected into a water bath. The relation between jetting phenomena and sonic flow is discussed.
