Excited state absorption in holmium doped Gd3Ga5O12 garnet

摘要
The purpose of the present work is the direct measurement of the I-5(7) --> S-5(2) - F-5(4)(Ho) excited state absorption in Gd3Gd5O12 garnet with a two beam experiment. The result is compared with the cross-section deduced from the S-5(2) - F-5(4) --> I-5(7) emission spectrum, using Me Cumber relations. The result is also compared to the laser excitation spectrum near 753 nm of the green emission recorded in a previous work [1].
