Cinema and audiovisual resources in education: reflecting on research

摘要
The article makes reference to the author's participation in the summit "Education and Audiovisualities" as part of a comemorative seminar for PPGEDU's 20 years the the Federal University of Sergipe. I will take a closer look at the findings of research concluded and as part of a process of a research group I coordenated that referes to two special research projects: one that took place between 2010 and 2013 and another that gave continuity to questions that came out of the first project and that should be concluded in 2015. Both research projects were undertaken by the research group CINENARRATIVAS and their objective was to perceive - within an optics of Latin American Cultural Studies and the methodological proposal of research intervention - relationships constituted by children, youth and professors with cinema and audiovisual resources both in educational institutions in which they participate as well as in their more general learning with cinema. The article speaks of findings in different fields of research investigated in the two research projects and brings about reflections on certain aspects that lead us to consider the role of the school in this audiovisual learning process. Special attention may be called to the narrative dimension in relation to films, the problem of access and/or mandatory character of films in school and the role of the school as a cultural teaching agent in widening student cultural repertories.
