摘要
This article discusses the inclusion of homosexuals in Protestantism. Assuming that the construction of gender and sexual practices is a social construction, this paper aims to show the role of religion in socialization and legitimization of homosexual religious life, specifically in the Christian fraction of Protestantism. Whereas that Protestantism has been the segment of the Christian religion that has most promoted changes in their beliefs and behavior patterns, and one of those changes being the inclusion of homosexuals in their churches since the mid-twentieth century, this article explains about the inclusion of homosexuals in the Protestant churches in which homosexual are not coerced to convert to heterosexuality, but rather becomes part of the community of faith and goes through to exercise their rights and religious duties.
