摘要
The publication process is the most important step for scientific work and the structure is based on the introduction, materials and methods, results and discussion sections. These parts are supported by the title page and the abstract (before the introduction) and the conclusions, literature, legends and figures. The most common reasons for rejecting a manuscript are flaws in the material and methods section and scientifically wrongly chosen hypotheses. In the introduction the motivation of the study should be provided. At the end of this section the aim and the hypothesis need to be clearly stated. In the materials section the method should be described clearly and in a detailed way. An IACUC or FDA approval needs to be stated for animal experiments or clinical research questions. In the results section the data obtained for every method used need to be given. A double presentation of the data in tables or graphs and in the text is not necessary. The aim of the discussion is to correlate the findings of the current study to previous studies from the literature. The limitations of the study should be clearly stated. The conclusions at the end of the study need to be related only to the current study and should be the same in the abstract and at the end of the manuscript. Financial or technical support of organizations, such as the AGA (German-speaking Arthroscopy Association) must be provided in the acknowledgements.
