摘要
Relations between nature, culture, society and the environment have always been the object of research in various branches of knowledge. These issues have now a "new" way that matters closely to the geography: that one proposed by the Environmental History, a new discipline that considers the nature an important actor in the history of man. We can identify in many works developed in the topics above, certain difficulties in terms issues related to the environmental history and its relations with geography. So one of our goals here will deal with the definition, the level of research and the themes of Environmental History, focusing on a key issue that binds this discipline to geography: its interdisciplinarity. It will also be our goal to establish conditions for a dialogue between the Environmental History and Geography, highlighting the contribution of the Historians in a task of geography: making sense in the act of think, study and look the nature.
