The Guillain-Barre syndrome, CIDP, paraproteinemic neuropathies, multifocal motor neuropathies with conduction block and vasculitic neuropathies are thought to result from aberrant immune responses to peripheral nerve. Following classification and a brief summary of the clinical manifestations of these neuropathies, the diagnostic approach is outlined. Based on a literature review of published trials and treatment reports, immunosuppressive and immunomodulating therapies for each of these neuropathies are discussed.
