摘要
The purpose of this paper is to examine the state of the art IoT for smart supply chain and develop a framework of IoT adoption. Categories of the IoT applications and types of industry in the supply chain are identified and mapped into nine intersecting cells to understand how each industry in the supply chain develops and uses various IoT applications. An adoption analysis of Fortune 200 companies was conducted regarding the types of industry in the supply chain and categories of the IoT technologies of the Fortune 200 companies. The analysis revealed how the types of industry in the supply chain have an impact on the adoption of the IoT applications. The manufacturing industry is the most active investors of the IoT applications, followed by the retailing industry and the distribution industry. The size of the company affects the adoption intensity of the IoT.
