OXYGEN-CONTENT IN INTERGRANULAR LAYERS AND SUPERCONDUCTIVITY OF METAL-OXIDE CERAMICS YBA2CU3OX

The diamagnetic study has been carried out of the metal oxide ceramics YBa2Cu3O(x) subjected to deoxidation procedure (with subsequent quenching) at different temperatures in the range 300-900-degrees-C. A method has been developed making it possible to find separately the oxygen content in granules and metal oxide intergranular layers. Oxygen depleted N interlayers have been found to be responsible for degradation of superconducting properties of the insulating (I) layer is considered. The oxygen deficiency in intergranular layers of ceramics with respect to oxygen content in the bulk granules has been restored for the whole practically important temperature range of metaloxide quenching. The physical principles are given to analyse the family of curves for the temperature dependence of the diamagnetic response of high-T(c) 3-dimensional materials.
