Theology and science in the work of Saint Thomas Aquinas

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the dialogue between Theology and Science. After some contextualized clarifications, the author introduces the issue of "Science" in the Middle Ages and how St. Thomas Aquinas relates to this category, especially in consideration of the Aristotelian philosophy. In a second step, the author leads us into an interesting survey of the presence of the connection between theology and science in Aquinas works. This survey evidences a "reasonably balanced" relationship with respect to the contribution of science to theological knowledge: faith can not renounce reason.
