摘要：
Intelligent control uses techniques of artificial intelligence (AI) for controlling plants. Many intelligent control techniques may be classified as knowledge-based control. This article is the first of a three-part series addressing the subject of intelligent control The concepts of knowledge-based systems are summarized, and their application in control is explained. Also, an example is given to illustrate a typical application of intelligent control Popular fuzzy-logic control and neural-network control also come under intelligent control. These two subjects will be explored in the remaining two articles of this series.
