The modeling of experiments as a teaching strategy' for developing problem solving skills

This article presents the results of a study that where the effectiveness of a teaching strategy based on solving practical problems in context is tested. Such strategy is guided by processes of experimental modeling while improving the overall capacity of solving problems of students. For this reason, it proposes a quasi experimental research with two sample groups, the control and experimental group; and the implementation of a post-test on the ability to solve problems. The results of the study show that the teaching,strategy used has a significant influence on the ability of eleventh students to solve problems.
