MOVING INTERFACES IN RANDOM ISING MAGNETS

摘要
The dynamic behaviour of an interface between spin-up and spin-down domains in a random magnet is studied by a stochastic differential equation, with terms corresponding to an external driving field, interface elasticity, and a (quenched) random background field. For driving fields F smaller than a threshold field F(c) the interface is pinned, i.e. the velocity upsilon = 0. F(c) and upsilon near the threshold field are analytically calculated within a discretized mean field theory. The results are compared with computer simulations.
