GENERAL-PURPOSE MULTICHANNEL DISCRIMINATOR

The authors describe a device that can be used as an eight-channel integral or four-channel differential microsecond pulse-amplitude discriminator for operation with detectors of ionizing radiation. The discriminator is contained in a CAMAC module of unit width. The discrimination thresholds are controlled by program using signals sent through the crate dataway independently for each discrimination channel. The range of discrimination thresholds is 25 mV to 5.145 V with control steps of 1.25 mV. The recovery time after actuation is 1-mu-sec.
