We consider the renormalization of local operators in two-loop non-leading QCD corrections to weak processes. Evanescent (or E-) operators which vanish for n = 4 are produced, n being the dimension of the Feynman integrals. In the minimal subtraction scheme, the renormalized E-operators do not vanish for n = 4, and we present a modified scheme to remedy this, keeping the definition of the physical operators, and their two-loop anomalous dimension unaltered.
