ENERGY-TRANSFER IN TRITON X-100 MICELLES

摘要
A study of the fluorescence energy transfer from the phenyl group of micellar triton X-100 to solubilized pyrene has been carried out. Through the analysis of the donor fluorescence quenching an energy transfer efficiency of 0.77 has been determined. The observed donor-acceptor separation (14.9 Angstrom) suggests that pyrene molecules are distributed uniformly in the micellar core.
