DISTANCE EDUCATION: REDEMPENSING THEORETICAL CONCEPTIONS ABOUT CURRICULUM

摘要
This article develops on the theoretical conceptions about the curriculum since the beginning up to nowadays, allowing a reflection upon the current learning systems in which the Information and Comunication Technologies are used to form another meaning in the pedagogical praxis. The technologies used in Distance Education (EaD) as well as a curriculum model based on rizoma are also discussed. It is concluded that digital technologies will only be seen as curriculum modifiers by the EaD if the used concept of Education take some facts into account: the student as a being capable of modifying his own reality; the time/space; the communicative exchanges (formal and informal) among the participants in the course environments; respect to student's learning pace; production of didactic material (appreciation of authorship); as well as the student's creativity and critical sense.
