摘要
This paper proposes a boundary element method implementation for study of the contact stress in the fitting face of two unequal-length interference-fit tubes and discusses the relationships of the contact stress with the fitting deformation, wall thickness and length of the outside fitting tube, and the angle at the ends of fitting face. The maximum errors of the present method compared with experimental and finite element method results are 12% and 6.1% respectively.
