摘要
This paper describes the EC RACE Project TIBAS, which is involved in developing computer based telecommunication tools oriented towards the automotive manufacturing industry. These tools are seen as useful steps towards Concurrent Design and Cooperative Problem Solving, providing a nucleus around which to grow. The project goals, users requirements, and proposed tools (some of which are already implemented) are described in detail. Emphasis is placed on the eventual use and testing in the specific automotive manufacturer participating in the project.
