Reflections on the education in the prevention of the risk of disasters Costa Rica

In this article the lector will find a reflection on the importance of the education for the prevention of risks to disasters in the national educational system. Some ideas are preliminary about the importance of the management of the risk to disasters and the education in prevention of risks in our country and its entailment with the process of education-learning in the national educative system. These are born of the reading and analysis of basic texts and consultation on the Internet on this subject matter. Besides was done the review of concepts related to the education, risks, disasters and, sustainable development, among others. It is divided into an introduction where are exposed the main reasons related to the important of the preparation of the kids and educators in this matter, then a conceptual base is presented and of last you are mentioned some achievements of the insertion of the risks to disasters in the national educational system. Also some ideas are expressed to contribute to the final reflection of the need of the formation of a culture of prevention or of the security in the Costa Rican educational context.
