摘要
A new type polarizable electrode (activated carbon/carbon composite) for electric double layer capacitors has been developed, which is synthesized through a simple process, carbonizing cured mixture of activated carbon and phenol-formaldehyde resin. The activated carbon/carbon composite enables fabrication of an electric double layer capacitor with large capacitance, 1,000 F, and low resistance, which is expected to be used as a high-power supplementary power source.
