摘要
The aberrationless approximation is employed to study nonlinear propagation of two orthogonally polarized axial Gaussian light beams in a longitudinally inhomogeneous medium with a quadratic permittivity profile. Analytical expressions for transverse sizes of the Gaussian beams and radii of curvature of their wavefronts are derived within the limits of the mentioned approximation. It is shown that the widths and the radii of curvature of the wave beams can be controlled at a finite longitudinally homogeneous section of the nonlinear medium by means of changing the beam powers and the gradient parameter. The results obtained can be used in the development of matching devices, bistable optical elements, optical transistors and laser resonators.
