WIND-TUNNEL SIMULATION OF THE TEXAS-TECH BUILDING

The 30'x45'x13' high instrumented building at Texas Tech University (TTU) represents one of the best full-scale installations ever built for determining wind Pressures on low buildings. Its purpose is primarily to provide data of the highest quality in a reasonably ideal, well-monitored full-scale environment for comparison with results of model scale experiments. This summary paper describes the scope of the first two phases of model experiments that have been carried out at UWO, and the intended scope of the current third phase. The full paper will include the most important results from all three phases and comparisons with full-scale data where available.
