摘要：
Plasma concentration of total cholesterol was determined at weekly intervals prior to, during and following pregnancy in rhesus monkeys. Four weeks following observed matings a significant decrease in plasma total cholesterol was observed; cholesterol continued to decrease until week 12 of gestation. No further changes in cholesterol concentration occurred until one week following parturition when a return to nonpregnant levels was observed. At 3 weeks postpar-tum cholesterol concentrations were the same as those found prior to conception.
