摘要
The study presented in this paper is a master research's result that discuss affirmative actions related to the empowerment of black women through the articulation between the assumption of curly hair and the fashion promoted by the Tombamento Generation. The research is centered on the event Afro Chic in Curitiba, which promotes braids and head-wraps workshops of braids as forms of resignification of the black body. We perceive this event as one of the strategies of the Tombamento Generation, a cultural movement that uses fashion and aesthetics as political tools for race and gender stereotypes deconstruction, especially those built by the whitening ideology in the early 20th century.
