THE SEROLOGICAL DIAGNOSIS OF CAPRINE ARTHRITIS ENCEPHALITIS (CAE) IN GOATS AND MAEDI-VISNA (MV) IN SHEEP

摘要：
An ELISA for the detection of antibodies against CAE-virus and MV-virus in sera from goats and sheep is described. 263 goat sera and 226 sheep sera which had been tested previously using the immunodiffusion test were examined by the ELISA. 17.5 per cent of the goat sera were positive compared with 10.6 per cent in the immunodiffusion test and 11 per cent of the sheep sera were positive compared with only 6.6 per cent in the immunodiffusion test.
