摘要
The present paper studies the evolution of a peripheral area in northwest Bogota, surrounding 80th Street, related to the implementation, in 2000, of a new mass transit system, Transmilenio, which has modified the mobility conditions of residents of this and other neighbourhoods. The main objective is to analyse the way in which different ways of urban mobility practised by citizens migratory, interurban residential and routine mobility) can reveal new forms of urban inequality. It will be observed how citizens attempt or fail to make the best of their neighbourhood's and the city's resources in terms of housing, public services and transport. The research is based on the analysis of microdata in the 1993 and 2005 censuses and the data of a 2009 research that combines a questionnaire-based quantitative survey and an interview-based qualitative survey.
