摘要
The relativistic classical mechanics of a spinning point particle is shown to be equivalent to that of two spinless particles coupled together and moving in phase on a double helix which becomes two concentric circles for zero total momentum. The energies add linearly, the rest masses add quadratically, and the symmetry between the two orbits is demonstrated. These correlated particles move as if they are in a potential that is linear for large distances and constant for small distances. Quantization of the orbital angular momenta leads to a series of quantized mass-energy levels that very accurately describe a number of baryon-meson mass ratios.
