摘要：
In this note we expose some of the recent results in the mathematical theory of infinite dimensional dynamical systems as they pertain to some of the equations of fluid mechanics. Our main objective is to highlight the theory of exponential attractors and discuss its possible significance in the study of 2D incompressible NS equations.
