摘要：
A sensitive mechanical test for magnetic recording thin film disks is described. A model that explains the increased sensitivity is correlated to different heads and test methods. A major improvement in test precision is possible due to the reuse of test heads when water vapor is used to highlight the slightest wear to the disk.
