摘要
The Scale of Attitudes Toward Persons with Epilepsy (ATPE) is a contemporary, brief, easily administered and scored psychometrically sound instrument to measure knowledge about and attitudes toward epilepsy and persons with epilepsy. The scale (Form S) consists of 28 statements, of which 17 are scored as attitude items, 7 are scored as knowledge items, and 4 are scored as both knowledge and attitude items. Data were collected and analyzed that indicate satisfactory item characteristics and scale reliability, and adequate construct and criterionrelated validity. The scale should be useful for the investigation of questions concerning the formation, structure, and correlates of knowledge and attitudes regarding epilepsy and persons with epilepsy. © 1990.
