THE PHOBOS EXPERIMENT AT RHIC AND AGS

摘要
PHOBOS is a compact silicon detector designed to study the physics of relativistic heavy-ion collisions in a systematic way over a large range of energies. We will use PHOBOS to look at the highest experimentally accessible baryon and energy densities. We will study Au-Au collisions at a total center of mass energy of 5 A.GeV at the AGS[1, 2] and 200 A.GeV at RHIC[3-5].
