A Reflection on Mentoring as an Educational and Social Leisure Experience in People over 65 Years of Age

This article reflects on two traditionally opposed fields; leisure and business. This is done from the perspective of the elderly and how a process of mentoring, understood as an educational and social leisure experience, can bring benefits for the mentor and the mentee, as well as the company where the mentee works. The understanding of the mentoring process as a leisure experience for the elderly is novel and this article provides the basis for possible future empirical research into the implementation of the proposed mentoring process.
