Could become a poisoned draught !

We the people have indulged this-wordly religion of progress that has been cultivated by politics for its own legitimization. However, the aim of progress seems increasingly elusive as the crisis deepens: prospects of this-wordly religion are turning into poison. Many see an exit out of the crisis in some kind of relationship between this-worldliness and otherworldliness, between politics and religion. Nevertheless, the Church in Slovenia also appears to be in crisis for several reasons. This paper analyzes these reasons and indicates a possible way out of the crisis. Moreover, solving the crisis in the Church will help solve the general crisis in society.
