Starting from the EICR conditions [1] an equation could be derived, which makes possible the approximate calculation of second order rate constants from the experimental data (pulse areas, half-width value of reactant, inlet amount of the reactant, flow rate) of simple irreversible reactions of the type 2A-)B. The equation was tested by use of experimental data from the aldol condensation of n-propanale.
