摘要
This article aims to review emerging trends in recent decades which have generated around historical studies in education, a discipline that has been rethought itself allowing it to redefine its object of study, and at the same time it has expanded its range of subjects, used new sources capable of meeting the new research questions, the ones that require a much deeper and denser theoretical foundation to depict explicitly the educational processes that have taken place in societies through time. A history that is essential to overcome the presentism characterizing educational research and teaching today. An issue scholars cannot avoid for the educative act is a social phenomenon closely linked to all the actions of man in society and therefore has historicity
