THE CULTURE OF EXTERMINATION

Our age has witnessed the rise of a culture of extermination which exterminates not only <<culture>>, but God, man and the world in the name of dark and rational powers (apparent contradiction) which claims to be a culture itself (nazism, applied marxism) in opposition to previous cultures. Instinctual contradiction can be a vital force : the aporia of instincts which narcissism does not master may repeat the exterminable, if psychoanalysis is a civilising process as well as an appropriation of so-called <<foundations >> (fundamentalism), it must respect itself <<culturally>> as a form of making sense of existence and as a therapy.
