摘要
The distribution of the drawing induced defect, identified by its characteristic emission, has been profiled across germanosilicate core optical fibre preforms using the cathodoluminescence technique. The defects have been found to be concentrated in regions of high thermoelastic stress gradients: at the core-cladding interface and in the central Ge depletion region.
