Reading strategies in the formation of readers from Mato Grosso

This article develops possible reading strategies put in practice with the tale of Mato Grosso state named Conferencia no cerrado (2008), by Durval Frania and Cristina Campos. The objective of this research is demonstrate that the object of these activities, involving the teaching sequence with regional narratives with reading strategies contributes in the construction of meanings between the reader, the text and the external world, enabling the development of reading competence and, mainly, to assist in the development of the formation of young readers.
