ADVISORY COUNCILS IN LIBRARY AND INFORMATION-SCIENCE EDUCATION

This study was undertaken to examine the structures and functions of advisory boards and councils at schools with ALA-accredited programs of library and information science education. The goal of the study was to determine the impact of these boards and councils on accredited programs and to assess the contributions of advisory councils to the quality of those programs.
